Lots of kiwi accents (Tim Shadbolt was great), a fair bit of good clean humor, some cool race scenes, all in a safe fun-for-the-whole-family package. Anthony Hopkins'... more performance was fantastic, playing one of the most realistic old kiwi granddad roles I've ever seen on screen! A must see.

I was proved wrong. Anthony Hopkins did some great... more acting, speaking in a NZ accent, and was such a humourous and believable character. There was also some great kiwi actors in the movie - who also did a great job. Its certainly not boring, you just follow this man on his journey he's been dreaming of all his life, seeing some funny and quirky things along the way. I would rate it 10/10, as i walked out of the cinema pleased, and I think the old people did in the back rows too, because its a movie for almost all ages, from about 12-100.

The story is very well told and the people he encounters along his journey make the movie extra special. Sir Anthony... more Hopkins gives an incredible performance as Burt Munro - the accent and mannerisms are spot on. Roger Donaldson has done a fantastic job here, this movie has laughs, excitement and sentimentality, I highly recommend seeing it.

In what is a seemingly straightforward story the movie remains fascinating the whole... more time, oh and Hopkins does a brilliant job of a kiwi accent. Great movie.

     BenniReviewed at 09:44PM on 9 Nov 2005Motorcycle Enthusiast - WORLDS FASTEST INDIAN is a MUST SEE for any motorcycle enthusiast.Doesnt matter what your ride is,the fact that a kiwi joker of years gone by has set a land speed record as such is truly inspiring.I hope i am still on... more my motorcycles at his age!I noticed next to no computer special effects which is quite refreshing these days. This movie is well put together focussing somewhat on burts journey to america on a shoestring budget,the hurdles and setbacks he encountered along the way.And he was travelling by himself!This movie touched my heart,us kiwis can do whatever anyone else can!Bring on a movie about John Britten!!!!

Sir Anthony Hopkin's portrayel of Burt was wonderful and I think we all have come across a Kiwi gent similar to him. The... more story was well paced and I enjoyed his encounters with American locals on his journey to Bonneville. This movie is not overdone like many that are made today. It is golden in its simplicity. Pure magic.

All I wanted to do was to sit at the dinner table with this man and chat til the cows came home. A genuine honest movie... more that will leave even a tough person with tears in their eyes - and, best of all, I find out after the film that I am related! no wonder I love cars! Honestly, a must see film!
