    zakklabelReviewed at 11:15AM on 5 Jan 2007Are You Watching Closely? - I was really excited for this film, and with such a great cast and the involvement of Christopher Nolan, why wouldn't I be? And for the most part, it delivered - but not completely. I may have just been having an off... more night, but I found the opening of the film somewhat confusing. I understand that misdirection is part and parcel of the film, but any time I'm jarred like that at the start, it takes me much longer to settle into the film. Consequently I found it more difficult to keep track of all the jumping to and fro in the timeline. Fortunately, the story is so intriguing that I wanted to persevere, and ultimately felt rewarded by some clever twists and a satisfying ending that felt earned rather than contrived. It's definitely a thinker, so if you're after action, this isn't for you, particularly with the 2.5 hour running time. I never felt that the film was dragging, but it was obvious that some of the teens in the audience disagreed. A better film than this review suggests.
