A Sign Of Things To Come - The movie that opened at 6pm on the 6th day of the 6th month 2006 (06/06/06), this film hyped itself up so much that when the movie actually screened, it fell short. The original had some tacky shots and extended... more horror scenes but it?s excuse was that the effects weren?t available in it?s time. The remake starring Live Schriber and Julia Stiles was better cast wise, including the reintroduction of Mia Farrow (Rosemary?s Baby) after years of being out of the spotlight which was a sight to be seen. Damian wasn?t as frightening as the original but Schrieber did a great job in his role that outshone his predecessor. The dogs were more frightening than before, the effects more superb, there were some discrepancies that were better left the way they appeared in the original but you find that with most remakes. If you are loyal to the original, I wouldn?t recommend seeing this but if you have an open mind or have not seen it before, this movie will satisfy.
2. lawaReviewed at 06:02AM on 7 Jul 2006One Word - AWESOME. though not as good as the first... personally i didnt see the point of re-making it.. i just think they wanted publicity for the 6.6.06! BUT AMAZING. DEFF GO SEE.
