Ratings criteria must have decreased in ... more recent years since the film which has a PG rating is fuelled by sexual jokes, I cannot imagine my 14 year old sister and her friends reacting in the same fits of laughter as I and other 18 year olds did. Although Jesse Metcalfe provided superb eye candy, my friends and I fell for the younger brother sometimes cruelly referred to ?the other Tucker? and I can guarantee Penn Badgley will become a hot entry on google.com. So start planning your girly nights!

CharleneReviewed at 11:07AM on 3 Oct 2006Typical - This is a typical american high school movie, but in saying that its still really good. many of the story line is typical and predicitable but thats what you expect from a movie like this. Despite this you still want to... more see it. The main reason i went to see this movie was because Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) was in it and i must say that i found it funny to see Sophia playing such a different character to what i am used to seeing her play, it was great to see her diversity. I also fell for the 'Other Tucker' opposed to 'John Tucker' but i supose that was the whole point. Really funny and a great night out with the girls for a laugh especially at what some legths girls will go to to destroy a guy.

The premise seems rife for high school cynicism, but unfortunately, the whole thing plays out too good-natured for it to have any real kick. Even the villain of the piece, good old John Tucker himself (played by the far too old Jesse Metcalf), is molded into a kind soul just halfway through the flick, thus handing the only malicious deeds to the trio of ladies trying to get back at him -- who by the way, spend half of their time exiled in flat moments of slapstick shtick.
