    zakklabelReviewed at 08:21PM on 12 Jul 2007Just Magic - I'm kind of glad that I haven't read the Harry Potter books, because it makes these movies that much more of a treat. It's nice to be able to judge them on their own merits rather than comparing how faithfully they've... more adapted the books. These movies have been growing up at the same pace as their audience, and that's helped them stay fresh. There aren't many franchises that are still fresh and commanding large budgets by the fifth film, and with the same cast members. Director David Yates brings another fresh perspective to the material, and tonally the film is miles away from the starry eyed innocence of the first film. The story is probably the darkest yet, and the spectre of real danger is beginning to hang over all the characters. More than any of the others this film feels like it's building to something big, and personally I can't wait. Highly recommended for fans, but keep an eye on the young ones - this is scary in places.

    keelyReviewed at 11:16AM on 18 Jul 2007Another Great Harry Potter Movie - i wasnt sure how this movie was going to turn out since i had read quite mixed reviews - but honestly i thought it was great. probably not the best in the series but overall a great movie. it definately links the... more books together and starts to give the reader a hint of whats to come in the next movie - alot darker than the others and probably the most grown up of the lot. if you havent read the books - you wont need to to follow the movie easily and if you have then the movie adaption is a great addition to the book!

    JaclynReviewed at 09:54AM on 8 Aug 2007Not Too Bad - I must say that I have enjoyed the previous movies more than this one but they still did a good job overall and I am looking forward to the next installment. I found it a little dragging but was never tempted to stop... more watching. Enjoyed the new charater of Luna Lovegood and as always the special effects were great making it much better to be seen at the movies. Deffinately worth a look if this is the kind of movie you would enjoy.

However, it's definitely a movie that would be appreciated more by those who have read the book first. Luna Lovegood's... more character was excellent. Can't wait for the sixth movie!
