The Extreme Makeover of 2007

The long awaited NZ Cinema 2.0 arrived this week and there are heaps of changes for everyone. Other than looking ten times better, being much more secure and user friendly; below are some of our favourite new features:

You Can Do More

You used to be able to rate movies you had seen and write reviews, well now you can do even more:

1. You can tag movies with keywords.
2. Rate movies with half-stars (3.5 out of 5 for example).
3. Rate movies you have not seen.

The Amazing Movie Timeline

You can now browse through movie times using a visual timeline which is the ultimate way to compare what's on near you.

1. Easily compare times for all cinemas near you.
2. Show all times or just what's on today, tonight, tomorrow evening, this weekend, etc.
3. You can show show only movies rated M or PG and so on.

Three View Types

Throughout the site you can now choose to view movie lists in three different ways.

1. Poster Grid - view your movies as a compact grid of posters.
2. Movie Summary - a movie image and short synopsis.
3. Quick List - a quick text list for those on slow connectoins.

When you change your view type we will remember it and use that view on all other pages on the site. If you log in it will also remember your preferences next time you come back to the site.
